Cloud 9 Event Management was recommended to me by Manly Yacht Club when my fiancé and I were looking at holding our wedding reception there. After talking with friends I found out that my friend had also hired Cloud 9 and Amy to organise her wedding the year before and she came highly recommended.
Amy is a warm, bubbly and professional person and a joy to deal with. Like many others we only had a vague sort of idea of what kind of a theme we wanted, but Amy was able to tease out our thoughts and mould it into something perfect just for us. I’m not sure if she’ll ever have a request for those pink flamingos and Astroturf for a wedding again but we absolutely loved it. Anything goes!
There are so many things to think about when hiring a self-catering/blank venue that I would definitely recommend Amy and Cloud 9 to organise it for you. Amy goes above and beyond, is genuinely excited for you and on our day she even did a few little extra things that were only possible because she was there.
If I had my time all over again I would hire Amy and do it just the same. Thank you Amy!

Cloud 9 were amazing from the get-go! Professional, artistic and a natural flare to interpret client brief with amazing results! My initial meeting with Cloud 9 was at our wedding venue, Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club. She was recommended by a friend and the venue. She asked me questions about what kind of couple we were, what our expectations were, colours, theme etc. As I didn’t really know what I wanted, from our chat she got the gist of what I was into (garden and the beach) and based the wedding theme around that. She did all the thinking and hard work for me.
Once our theme was set I didn’t really have to do much. Amy basically did the rest. I received a floor plan, concept images and even did a nursery visit together! When it came to setting up and back down, she was efficient with no fuss which I liked. For my wedding I provided the flowers and I noticed while I was preparing flowers in jars for the tables; Amy spent time to make sure the colours matched, heights were adjusted, angles etc – a natural eye for design and detail which reaffirmed why I needed her!
Amy was always professional, warm and I felt she genuinely wanted to help and would go above and beyond to make sure it was the best possible wedding. Her communication was excellent where emails were even answered whilst she was away overseas. I can’t thank you enough for all your help and organisation – I’ll defiantly be in contact for my second wedding! (I mean renewing my vows!)

We are so thankful to Amy and Cloud 9 for everything that they did for us leading up to and the day of our wedding - they went well above and beyond what we expected and we are so grateful we had them onboard because I can't imagine how we could have gotten such a special day without their help and guidance. We were arranging our wedding in Sydney from our home in Perth and we never even met Amy until a couple of days before the actual wedding but we were never really worried because the communication was great, the ideas presented were as per our requirements and Amy always made herself available to us to answer any questions or concerns we might have had. As for the day itself Amy made sure the venue looked flawless, our guests were well taken care of and the day went smoothly (including the ceremony). We really cannot recommend them highly enough!

From the word go, you were extremely patient with us as we changed our mind a few times on the catering and we thank you for that. The day itself was awesome, not a single hitch, the food was absolutely fantastic. Samantha and I were talking about how good it was for weeks afterwards and our guests have all said that it was “the” best wedding they have ever attended. We could not have done it without you, and we would very highly recommend you to anyone!

Having met Amy and subsequently inviting her to be a part of our day was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in the lead up to our summer wedding. Amy exudes politeness, helpfulness and FUN! Every meeting we had with her in the lead up was a delight. She expertly handled so many aspects of our day and was full of cost-effective, convenient suggestions, which really took the pressure off! The catering was divine – we were able to tailor the menu to include our favourite flavours, and it was one of the things we received the best feedback about! The Brazilian Buffet was a huge success, we’re so happy we listened to all of Amy’s advice. She is a true gem, and she comes with our recommendation for any function; her vast knowledge of events and enthusiasm to make the day perfect for us helped make the day all the more magic for us newlyweds.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Cloud 9 on the recent organising of my daughter's and new son-in-law's wedding at Bilgola Beach, then followed by the celebration at Bilgola Surf Club. Very special thanks to Amy who was so easy to work with, giving her expert guidance, while still allowing for our own personal preferences in set-up, decorating and catering. The wedding was a more casual cocktail food event and we have had nothing but fabulous comments from guests on both the quality and quantity of food served. "Jeremy & I want to thank Cloud 9 EM for a wonderful day - our Wedding Day on 7 June 2014. We chose Cloud 9 initially for their enthusiasm and understanding of what your day should be all about. And they didn't disappoint!
Cloud 9 had their work cut out for them as our food requirements were very demanding. We had celiac guests, vegetarians, lactose free, wheat intolerant and IBS sufferers!! Cloud 9 provided menus that suited all requirements (even supplying the menu with all ingredients listed). The food was superb. Thank you Martin (Chef) and Meg (researcher) and of course Amy - head honcho - who pulled all this together. Cloud 9 decorated our chosen venue and once again did not disappoint. We chose a black & white theme. Cloud 9 selected daybeds, ottomans, pillows, tables and chairs to suit this theme with splashes of wild coloured flowers to give it a vibrant feel.
I highly recommend Cloud 9 to anyone who wishes to have an event met with high standards. Jeremy and I were very happy with everything they created. Thank you Cloud 9 - we were not the only ones who thought you did a fantastic job! So many guests commented on all the facets of the day"

We picked the Manly Yacht Club for our wedding venue as we loved the view of the harbour. Given we were living overseas at the time we panicked when we learned that absolutely everything needed to be arranged by us! Amy was recommended by the party hire company and saved the day! She arranged the menu, complete with unique ideas such an mini gelatos for dessert, the drinks, the decorations, the furniture and everything else required to make our day beautiful. My only complaint is she couldn't make the sun shine for us! We came in right on budget without skimping on appearances. It was a beautiful event and I would recommend Amy and Cloud 9 to anyone looking for a person to trust with their special day"
